I know most people loooove Ben&Jerry’s icecream – but in Denmark it’s quite expensive to buy it. You might remember that I got the Ben&Jerry recipe book for Christmas (Read HERE) and today my mother and I decided to make some Ben&Jerry’s icecream! We made Ben&Jerry’s Cookie Dough (We made that one before though), Ben&Jerry’s Oreo Mint and then we made our own version of a Ben&Jerry’s icecream – Bubblegum! I assure you, it is just a delicious homemade, as it is when bought – and if you live in Denmark, it’s a lot cheaper to make it yourself! And it’s pretty easy too! 

Jeg ved at de fleste eeeeelsker Ben&Jerry’s is – men i Danmark er det jo desværre ret dyrt at købe. I kan måske huske at jeg fik Ben&Jerry’s bog med opskrifter i julegave (Læs HER) og i dag bestemte min mor og jeg os for at lave noget Ben&Jerry is! Vi lavede Ben&Jerry Cookie Dough (Den har vi godt nok prøvet at lave før), Ben&Jerry’s Oreo Mint og så lavede vi vores egen version af en Ben&Jerry is – Bubblegum! Jeg kan forsikre jer om at det smager ligeså godt hjemmelavet, som det gør købt – og hvis du bor i Danmark, så er det en del billigere at lave det selv! Og det er også ret let!

RECIPE ON BASE ICECREAM/OPSKRIFT PÅ IS:
2 large eggs / 2 store æg (Pasteuriserede!)
3/4 cup (160 g.) sugar / 160 g. sukker
2 cups (½ liter) heavy or whipping cream / ½ liter fløde
1 cup milk / 1 dl. mælk

Whisk the eggs in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, 1 to 2 minutes. Whisk in the sugar, a little at a time, then continue whisking until completely blended, about 1 minute more. Pour in the cream and milk and whisk to blend. (Makes 1 quart). Add flavours.
– Oreo Mint: 2 teaspoons peppermint extract
– Cookie Dough: 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Add in a box capable of freezing (or just in an ice-machine, if you have that – Then you just skip the next step and put the cookies or whatever into the icecream 2 minutes before done), put into freezer. Remember to stir in the icecream once every hour, until it’s creamy soft-ice like. Then add cookie dough pieces, or Oreo cookies (2/3 cup coarsely chopped) into the icecream. After that, let it freeze until ready to eat. Enjoy!

Pisk æggene i et par minutter til det bliver en luftig hvid masse. Pisk sukkeret i til det er rørt godt ud. Pisk fløden og vend den i sammen med mælken. Tilføj dernæst smag.
– Oreo Mint: 2 tsk pebermynte essens
– Cookie Dough: 2 tsk vanille essens
Hæld ud i en ismaskine, eller en plastik beholder og i fryseren. Hvis du putter den i plastik beholder og i fryseren, så husk at røre rundt et par gange i isen (Gerne 1 gang hver time), inden den er helt frossen, så den ikke bliver krystalliseret. Tilføj Cookie Dough stykker, eller Oreo Cookies (2/3 dl groft hakket) i isen, når den får en soft-ice lignende konsistens, og lad den dernæst fryse helt indtil den er klar til at blive spist. Enjoy!
