Concerts + liveshows

Geneva, Switzerland

25/04/2010 by Jeanette Jewel 9 Comments

Time for my last review from the tour (and it’ll probably make me all nostalgic writing it, haha!).

Anyway, after Toulouse we slept in the car for the night and drove to back to Geneva from Toulouse. When we arrived, Mia Malene and I got off at the venue, while Linda drove to see some of her friends and get a shower, haha! The venue was just nearby the airport, so we decided to go in there and look inside some of the shops while we had to wait. The queuing made no point at all, as in Toulouse. People were just sat everywhere, and I didn’t even mind standing in the back. It was my last concert, and I just really wanted to enjoy it. That’s why I didn’t take that many pictures at this concert (What I did though, from the very first concert in Copenhagen, was to decide that I WANTED a video with the mash-up of Screamin’ and Moonson, and I filmed that in Geneva, haha!).

We went in almost as the last ones, Mia Malene and I, and we just sat down inside, waiting for the concert to start and talking a bit while the warm-up DJ’s were on. I couldn’t really believe it was going to be my last concert, and that after that concert it would all be over. It was so weird to think that in that day, about a month ago I still had 5 concerts to attend.

The concert started, and I tried to get a bit in the front, but it didn’t really work out that well, so I just stood in Toms side. Luckily my camera has quite good zoom, so when the boys walk up at those stairs I can get quite good pics even though I’m not on the first row. I enjoyed the concert, danced around with the girls and well – was about to cry when they played Zoom and In your shadow. Tears were for sure in my eyes. Of course this concert was the same as the others with the songs, etc – but I still love this show so much. I could watch it 10.000 times and not once I would get tired of it. I know when the fire goes up, when Bill yells the name of the city, when Gustavs drums are there and they aren’t on the CD, when Toms guitarsolo is there, etc. and still I won’t ever get tired of this show. I want more, more, more!

Anyway, after the show we went outside and Mia Malene and I went to the car to fix it up before we had a long drive home to Denmark. We decided to drive all night, so Mia Malene and I had to switch staying up to keep Linda awake, and it was fine for me. Also, Linda did a seriously great job driving, she really did. We wanted to get home as fast as possible, because even though out is good, it’ll always be nice to come home to your own bed and home. When I came home, it was so weird. Everything was just suddenly over and the days after I kind of missed being with Mia Malene and Linda around me all the time. I felt totally alone, because I’d been with amazing people around me for 10 lovely, but hard, amazing, days <3
This was for sure one of the times of my life I’ll never forget or regret.

I’ll leave you with the last medley this time. Enjoy.

I <3 SLUSH ICE

24/04/2010 by Jeanette Jewel 4 Comments

I got my first glas of slush ice today, in 2010. mmhm <3

(this picture is from 2008)

There’s nothing better than a glas of slush ice on a sunny spring/summer day.
They taste even better when there’s soft ice in it too, though.

What’s your favourite ice cream/drink in the spring/summer?

Tokieeel

Basically I was taking care of my littlebrother today while stepmom was doing laundry, and this is what came out of (besides watching Garfield cartoons in the TV, that is) it. He started asking who was on my posters and on my computer screen, so. I’ll just translate what we’re saying into English, since I ask him stuff in Danish, because he’s only almost 2 (He turns 2 in June) years old.

Me: Is Morten asleep now?
Morten: *Looking up at me*
Me: Who’s this, Morten? Who’s this? *Pointing at Bill poster* It’s Bill!
Morten: Bill!
Me: Yees.. Who’s this then? *Pointing at Tom* It’s Tom.
Morten: Tom!
Me: Can you say Gustav?
Morten: Gustav
Me: What about Georg then?
Morten: Ge-ork (XD) That?
Me: It’s Tokio Hotel.
Morten: Tokio-eeeel (XD) Me look!
Me: You wanna take a look?

I love him to bits <3

A walk to the city

19/04/2010 by Jeanette Jewel 12 Comments

We found out that 4 of our classes were cancelled today because our English+History teacher was sick, so we had to meet at 9 – then German class, then math class, then 2 hours off, and then one Social Study class and then I was off at 13:40, so Cecilie and I took a decision to walk to the city to go look in the shops, which was actually quite cozy.. Well, beside the fact that we’ve now got very sore feet.

Doesn’t I look pretty? (Beside the fact that my hair is so greasy 🙁 Anybody got any good tips how to get it away? I have had this problem with my hair getting greasy just a few hours after I’ve washed it, and I have no clue why it does it!!!! It annoys me so much.. Also, I need to dye it again soon)

Anyway, I had a great time, so my feet doesn’t really matter. They’ll stop hurting anyway, sooner or later.

Elephants mean a lot to the thai people - They used them for centuries as working animals; In war, as a local taxi and even for tourists to ride on or for shows..
In 2016 I experienced this first hand when I paid to watch elephants in a show. Elephants that were chained up when they didn’t perform. I’ve felt bad about it ever since.
This time we visited an Elephant sanctuary - A place where the elephants have been saved from the tourism and working industry. The mahouts live in the jungle with them and even consider them their pets! 🐘
Yes, they do still get a lot of tourists visiting them - but they get fed lots of bananas, get mud baths and washed in the river and just generally seem very happy! Best part? No chains! The mahouts only train them by using sounds (seeing as elephants don’t have a great sight).
I really recommend visiting this place! 🥹

Heldigvis er her stadig dejlig lunt - på trods af regn og skyer 😌 Vi krydser fingre for blå himmel og solskin når vi skal på ture i næste uge 🙈🤞🏻

First two days in Krabi are almost over - It’s the end of the monsoon season here, so we still haven’t experienced a clear blue sky 🌥️ However, it is still nice and hot, even when it rains 😌
Crossing our fingers for sun and blue skies when we go on some trips next week! 🙈🤞🏻
