In Denmark we have these chocolates formed as turtles that have some sort of caramel and rum filling in it, and seeing as my mother loves these, we decided to try to make the ice cream. I personally do not like the chocolates themselves, but the ice cream is indeed very delicious! They can be bought HERE, for you non-Danish people!

Opskrift/recipe:
– 6 (or 8) Toms turtles/skildpadder

– ½ liter of whipping cream/piskefløde
– 4 pasteurized egg yolks/pasteurisede æggeblommer
– 4 tbsp confectioners sugar/flormelis

Whisk the pasteurized egg yolks with the confectioners sugar until it’s a light and fluffy texture. Chop the chocolate turtles and whisk them into the egg-mixture. Whisk the whipping cream into a light foam and mix it into the egg-mixture. Put it all into the ice cream maker for about 30 minutes, and then into the freezer for minimum an hour.
